ANDY Ruiz Jr showed off his heavyweight spending credentials when he shelled out thousands of pounds on bling during a visit to a London ‘jeweller to the stars’.
The world champion – known as the “Mexican Rocky” thanks to his rags to riches story – flashed the cash at Frost of London after facing off with Anthony Joshua at a press conference ahead of their rematch.
Arriving in style in a fleet of silver Rolls Royces, he made his purchases after checking out watches, chains and pendants at the central London shop whose clients include Lewis Hamilton and Mariah Carey.
And he even treated himself to a Snickers bar despite preparing to face English hero Joshua once again.
AJ has dismissed Saudi Arabia's shocking human rights record towards gays and told fans: If you're not allowed to come to the country, just stay at home and watch me on TV.
Joshua will face Andy Ruiz Jr in December desperate to reclaim his world heavyweight titles – but the decision to stage the fight in a country where homosexuality is illegal has proved controversial.
The 29-year-old has tried to steer clear of questions about whether it is right to be taking the millions on offer to compete in a country with such strict laws.
But asked by the BBC about the fact homosexuals can receive the death penalty, Joshua let his guard down for the first time.
He said: “There are certain polices that are in place in the country and there are certain policies we just have to abide by, and I abide by the law and that’s just how it goes in certain places.
“If you cant come to the country, you can still watch it, you’re still open to support and I appreciate your support from every community.”
ANDRE WARD has claimed he turned down fights against Tony Bellew and Anthony Joshua before he retired.
The former unified super-middleweight and light-heavyweight champion hung up his gloves in September 2017.
Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, he said: “I didn't know for sure [if I'd retire].
“But I kind of feeling like, 'Okay, I felt like that after the first one [Kovalev fight], this may be it after the second one.'
“But then the opportunities started coming. HBO had a three-fight deal on the table. And basically, it was going to be a gimme fight in Oakland, at home, kind of a celebration.
“A move to cruiserweight to fight Tony Bellew, probably in the UK.”
Before he added: “A gimme fight at light-heavy, I was probably going to do a catchweight at home, cruiserweight. So that was the three-fight deal. And the third fight was going to be Anthony Joshua.
“Don’t know if it had been made, we hadn’t even gotten that far. But that was our plan.”
TYSON FURY has revealed he and England hero Wayne Rooney share booze-fuelled funny phone calls.
Heavyweight rival Anthony Joshua revealed last week the Gypsy King occasionally calls him to threaten him with a knockout beating.
The 6ft 9in star, 31, admitted to the prank calls but went on to reveal he and ex-Manchester United striker and huge boxing fan Roo also enjoy a chat after a few beers.
When asked by the BBC about his boisterous calls to AJ, Fury said: “I call AJ and I usually start it by saying, ‘how are you, mush?’
“We have a bit of back and forth and then we tell each other we are going to knock the other one out. They are just friendly banter really.
“Imagine having lots of celebrities in your phone book, you have a couple of beers, what are you going to do? You're going to phone them aren't you?
“I call Anthony Joshua, I call Dillian Whyte, I call Wayne Rooney, I call them all!
“Me and Wayne Rooney have quite a relationship, usually when we have had a few jars.”
