FRANKIE DETTORI is now the 4/1 favourite with William Hill to claim this year’s Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Dettori, who announced his retirement in December, landed a Group 1 double at Epsom over the weekend and has been cut from 6/1 to 4/1 to claim the BBC end-of-year accolade.

Successful on both Emily Upjohn in the Coronation Cup and then Soul Sister in the Oaks, the 52-year-old Italian jockey now heads the SPOTY betting.
Cricketer Ben Stokes is second in the betting markets at 9/2 ahead of The Ashes against Australia, which begins on June 16 at Edgbaston.
Stokes, along with coach Brendon McCullum, has transformed the England Test team over the past year with his side earning 10 wins from 12 in swashbuckling fashion.
