Eight Man Utd stars set to return to first team including loan revelation Amad Diallo as Ten Hag weighs up their futures | The Sun

ERIK TEN HAG is set to welcome eight players back to the Manchester United first team including those returning from loan spells.

United return to pre-season training next week and there will be a few familiar faces back at Carrington.

Some, such as Eric Bailly and Alex Telles, may not be around for long after they were loaned out to Marseille and Sevilla respectively last season.

The Red Devils could look to cash in on the pair who are surplus to requirements, though finding willing suitors could prove tricky.

There are also several young players who could depart on loan once again – Shola Shoretire and Charlie McNeill both joined EFL clubs on a temporary basis last season.

But Amad Diallo, who had a successful loan at Sunderland last season, will be welcomed back into the first-team set-up, according to Manchester Evening News.

He is set to be given an opportunity to impress during pre-season and will be included on the tour of the US.

United could have a vacancy on the right wing, with Ten Hag seeking an left-footed right winger to act as Antony's understudy.

Meanwhile Hannibal Mejbri and Alvaro Fernandez will return to the squad following stints at Birmingham and Preston.

Fernandez is reportedly attracting transfer interest from Borussia Dortmund however so could make a move this summer.

New arrival Mason Mount is also on the verge of finalising his switch to Old Trafford so should link up with his new team-mates at some point next week.

Lisandro Martinez and Dean Henderson, who also spent last season out on loan, will also be welcomed back from injury.

Henderson is expected to be fit for the start of the season despite being sidelined since January with a thigh strain that required surgery.

The goalkeeper has still not met Ten Hag in person and could return to Nottingham Forest in a £30million deal.
