Horse racing tips TODAY: This longshot at Chelmsford can break the bank for punters on Monday

SUN Racing is back to give you some insight on big horses at even bigger prices.

Here, we try to find the value bets which could net you a tasty return from a small stake.

Longshot

POCKETEER (3.25 Chelmsford)

Trainer John Ryan has taken his time with this filly who has shown some promise in maidens.

She ran a lot better than ninth place suggests here last time and this step up in distance should help.

The handicapper has given her every chance with an opening mark of just 56.

Each-way Thief

TAXMEIFYOUCAN (2.15 Musselburgh)

This six-year-old is rarely out of the first three and saw out 3m2f well when third at Kelso last time out.

He handles cut in the ground and will be doing his best work at the finish again. The handicapper has left his handicap mark alone which gives him solid claims.

MICHELE STROGOFF (3.55 Chelmsford)

Trainer Michael Appleby is a master of getting the best out of his horses and can go close with this seven-year-old.

He was very rusty when down the field on comeback here last month and will be much fitter today.

He’s not won for a good while but is a stone below his last winning mark and can hit the frame.

Aside from these, SunSport resident tipster Templegate has picked a horse in each race on Monday.
