UFC star Kamaru Usman has shockingly told a social media troll to 'kill themselves'.

A series of posts were sent from the 34-year-old's Snapchat account aimed towards a follower who was 'watching his story'.

The messages read: "Whomever you are watching my story please kill yourself.

"2022 just started and your life is centred around others."

The next post read: "Better yet kill yourself. Have fun watching my life & not yours."

It is not known who his anger was directed at.

But he later took to Snapchat to explain why he posted the messages.

The Nigerian Nightmare said: "Let me clear this up, I know that was tough. It was 4am in the morning, it was a little slizzered and obviously, I typed that the wrong way.

"Let me rephrase this for that hater, you know who you are, that particular hater there's one of you or maybe two of you that keeps watching my story so you can have something to hate on.

"Choke yourself, it's me saying it now, choke yourself. For the rest of my fans, my real fans I love and appreciate you guys, I always have and always will."

Usman was last in action in November, when he retained his welterweight title with a unanimous points win against bitter rival Colby Covington.

And the pound-for-pound king declared himself the king of the jungle after his second successive victory over the controversial Covington, saying: "I am the pound for pound best alive right now."

He also revealed after his victory that he broke his hand in the lead-up to the fight – by punching lightweight Justin Gaethje's head during a sparring session.

Usman is on an incredible run of 19 straight MMA victories, a run which stretches back to his second pro fight in 2013 when he suffered his only loss at the hands of Jose Caceres.

His dominance in the UFC has led him to look across to the world of boxing for potential challenges.

And earlier this month the welterweight champ called out pound-for-pound boxing star Canelo Alvarez for a crossover clash.
