Nemanja Matic seeking talks with Solskjaer over Man Utd future as Inter and AC Milan show transfer interest – The Sun

NEMANJA MATIC is seeking talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over his Manchester United future amid transfer interest from Italy, according to reports.

The 30-year-old has failed to win over the Old Trafford faithful since he was signed for £40million from Chelsea by Jose Mourinho in 2017.

The Serbian even told critics to blame him for the Red Devils lack of leaders during a miserable campaign in which the club stumbled to sixth.

Despite this, the midfielder has attracted interest from both Inter and AC Milan and is set to hold talks with Solskjaer over his future, according to ESPN.

Antonio Conte's side, who are also looking to sign Romelu Lukaku, have indicated a willingness to offer £10m plus Radja Nainggolan for Matic.

The Belgium international only joined Inter last summer but has been told he is not in the Italian's plans for next season.

It is yet to be revealed whether Nainggolan can tempt United, who had identified Sean Longstaff as a potential replacement for Matic.

The decision over the former Benfica star's future at Old Trafford rests with Solskjaer, who has already lost one senior midfielder in Ander Herrera.

The Spaniard completed a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain this week on a five-year deal, after rejecting a reported £350,000-a-week salary.

Solskjaer has been keen to overhaul his squad this summer and he has already spent almost £70m on fresh blood.

The Norwegian snapped up £50m Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace and £18m Swansea starlet Daniel James.

However, there was also a huge cull at the club after they confirmed they had released 15 players – including Herrera and club captain Antonio Valencia.
