Pochettino would snub Man Utd but WOULD leave Spurs for Real Madrid, claims Harry Redknapp – The Sun

MAURICIO POCHETTINO would snub Manchester United and only leave Totttenham if the Real Madrid job came up, according to Harry Redknapp.

The Argentine has been continually linked with a move away from the crisis hit club but ex-Spurs boss Redknapp thinks there is only one place Poch would go.

Since September 24, Spurs conceded TEN goals in two games – in the 7-2 and 3-0 defeats to Bayern Munich and Brighton respectively – and also crashed out the Carabao Cup to League Two minnows Colchester.

But Redknapp is adamant the 47-year-old is staying put for now, despite being bookies favourite for the Red Devils hotseat.

He told PA: "As a manager, I learned from a great manager in Alec Stock. He always said you have to change the players every couple of years or they change you.

“The same message every year becomes stale. You can only keep saying the same things so many times.

"Maybe five or six years in Pochettino needs a fresh start. He’s a great manager, but maybe it’s time for a change for him as well.

“But I don’t think he’ll go. Not unless the Real Madrid job comes up. I’m sure if that came up that would be a great job for him.

“But I think he’s happy that he’s got a great job at Tottenham.”

Tottenham sit ninth in the Premier League and are a whopping 13 points off leaders Liverpool after just eight games.

They have lost as many matches as they have won and their first choice goalkeeper is ruled out injured until the new year.
