Premier League next manager sacked 2022-23 odds: Frank Lampard favourite, Leeds, Chelsea and Leicester bosses next | The Sun

EVERTON boss Frank Lampard is favourite to be the first managerial casualty of the 2022-23 Premier League season.

That's according to bookmakers Betfair, who've updated their 'Next Manager' market after the new fixtures were published on Thursday.

Lampard signed a two-and-a-half-year deal to replace Rafael Benitez at Goodison Park in January.

The 43-year-old helped Everton to preserve their top-flight status but collected just eight wins from a possible 21.

The Toffees are also expected to lose Richarlison and perhaps Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer.

And reinforcements could be in short supply with the club operating on a tight budget.

The Merseyside club do, however, have reasonable opening fixtures against Chelsea (H), Aston Villa (a), Nottingham Forest (H) and Brentford (a) in their opening four games.

Elsewhere Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl follows closely behind at 9/2, ahead of Jesse Marsch (6/1) and Marco Silva (8/1).

Thomas Tuchel (9/1) is the last at single-figure prices with Chelsea's new owner Todd Boehly now at the helm.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: "Frank Lampard, who guided Everton to safety last term, is the 7/2 favourite to be the first manager to lose his job in the 2022/23 campaign.

"He's followed closely by Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is 9/2.

"Other managers who could leave their role first next season include Leeds' Jesse Marsch at 6/1, Fulham's Marco Silva at 8/1 and Chelsea's Thomas Tuchel, who is available at 9/1."
