Sunday's horse racing tips: Fresh off an 8-1 winner these THREE top picks can land another tasty pay day
SUN Racing is back to give you some insight on big horses at even bigger prices.
Read on to find out who we think can land the spoils on Sunday.
Longshot
POYLE VINNIE (3.25 Wolverhampton)
He hasn’t won since last year but that success came in the 23-runner Stewards’ Sprint at Glorious Goodwood so he has enough quality.
He has been paying for that ever since but the handicapper has relented and dropped him to 9lb lower than that mark.
He went close at Pontefract last month coming back from a long break before not being the first horse to underperform on the fibresand at Southwell.
Anything like his best form would see him on the podium.
Each way thief
LIGHTNING GOLD (1.03 Exeter)
This five-year-old has shown promise in bumpers including when third at Chepstow last time returning from eight months off.
She was sent for home a long way out and boxed on well to suggest this step up to three miles could be a wise move.
She should have more to offer now she’s jumping a hurdle.
PRESENT VALUE (1.33 Exeter)
Evan Williams’ six-year-old showed promise this time last year when finishing second on his chasing debut at Aintree.
He didn’t really match that form but is back in handicaps now from what could be a lowly enough mark to figure.
His effort at Exeter last time suggested he would improve fitness-wise and this contest looks wide open.
Aside from these, SunSport resident tipster Templegate has picked a horse in each race on Sunday.
