TIGER WOODS has a 'very strong chance' of winning the 2022 Masters.

That's according to statistical analysis of pre-tournament prices over the past 10 years, provided by bookmakers Betfair.

Five-time champion Woods announced plans to make his long-awaited return to action at Augusta this week.

Woods hasn't featured in a high-level event since a car crash left him with life-threatening injuries.

The 46-year-old will play nine holes today before confirming the decision.

But if he does tee off on Thursday – Betfair think he's got a great chance of landing a SIXTH Green Jacket, which would see him equal Jack Nicklaus' record.

Betfair have concluded that the average winner of the US Masters has had odds of 40/1 before the competition started.

And Tiger is priced at… 40/1!

11 other golfers share odds of 40/1, including Matthew Fitzpatrick, Paul Casey, Tyrrell Hatton, Bryson DeChambeau and Hideki Matsuyama.
