U.S. soccer couple Sydney Leroux, Dom Dwyer announce new baby before USWNT World Cup game
U.S. soccer players Sydney Leroux and Dom Dwyer welcomed a baby girl on Friday, announcing Roux James' birth on social media.
"Our sweet girl came into the world kicking and screaming (just like her parents)," Leroux wrote.
Leroux, a U.S. national team member, plays professionally for the Orlando Pride. She was part of the 2015 World Cup champion U.S. team, and she was the youngest player on the Olympic gold medal-winning team at the 2012 London Games.
“Congrats, Syd! We love you and love Roux James so much already!” the U.S. Women’s National Team commented.

Dwyer has played for the U.S. men's national team since 2017 in different capacities and plays professionally for Orlando City.
The couple wed in 2015 and had their first child the following year. Dwyer tweeted a photo with the couple's 2½-year-old son, Cassius, meeting his baby sister for the first time.
