Beth is riled when Daniel dumps the rest of Sinead’s things on her doorstep.

The grieving aunt then takes the opportunity to lecture Bethany at Sarah’s wedding –  congratulating her  on erasing Sinead from their lives.

Craig also chips in and warns Bethany that Daniel is a car crash waiting to happen.

But will she listen?

2. Daniel pops the big question

Adam is with Daniel in the pub when the grieving widow announces he’s going to show Bethany how much he loves her.

Before Adam can talk him out of it, Daniel bursts out onto the street and shouts up at Bethany’s salon flat.

When she appears at the window, Daniel gets down on one knee and asks her to marry him.

3. There’s a nasty twist

But Bethany’s in for a nasty surprise when she realises that Daniel is proposing to her with Sinead’s ring.

The aspiring writer finally realises she’s living in Sinead’s shadow and that things have to change.

So what does she decide?

4. Bethany leaves alone

Later, after mulling over what’s happened, Bethany decides to leave the cobbles without Daniel in tow.

Has the grieving widow put his foot in it forever?

Actress Lucy Fallon – who plays Bethany – announced she was filming her final Corrie scenes last month after quitting the soap five years since her first appearance.

She wrote on Instagram at the time: "I’m writing this with mascara all over my face and tears/snot dripping onto my clothes but that’s a wrap… On what has been the most incredible 5 years of my life."

5. Alya gets closer to the truth

Alya sets about quizzing Geoff as to why Yasmeen was crying in the garden after he cooks her beloved chicken.

When Geoff is evasive, Yasmeen’s suspicions are piqued.

She calls on her grandmother and insists they go for a stroll.

Will Yasmeen finally speak out about the abuse she’s suffering at the hands of Geoff.

6. Sarah and Adam tie the knot

Sarah Platt and Adam Barlow prepare to tie the knot in a 1920s style wedding.

But not everyone is happy about it. Gary is provoked by David when he makes a dig about it being his ex’s wedding day.

7. Gary gets jealous

Gary suggests to Maria that they start thinking more about their own wedding.

The dodgy dealer urges Maria to set a date after jealousy gets the better of him on the day of his ex-girlfriend Sarah's wedding.

8. Gary learns Maria has slept with Ali

As Maria waits in the pub for Gary, Adam bumps into him and leaves him shaken.

Gary frantically searches for Ryan and demands to know if anything is going on between Ali and Maria.

Ryan covers for them, but Gary’s suspicions don’t fade.

Corrie fans know that Maria recently admitted to Carla that she’d slept with Ali again, but that she regretted it.

After Gary publicly announced their engagement, Maria then summoned Ali to the ginnel and demanded that he stay away from her.

9. Jade tries to seduce Tyrone

Tyrone gives in to Jade’s pleas to see Hope and buys a bracelet for the youngster to give to her older sister for her birthday.

In the café, Hope gives Jade the present along with a homemade birthday card.

When Hope tells her that the bracelet was Tyrone’s idea, Jade is thrilled.

But disaster strikes later in the week when Jade makes a pass at Tyrone.

Later in the week, Fiz threatens to harm Jade if she touches her husband again – and this time to do more damage than she did with the chopping board.

10. Aggie gets back on the horse

Ed is supportive as Aggie sets off for her first day back in a nursing job.

Later, Aggie arrives in the pub and reassures Ed that things went swimmingly on her first day.

James then announces that Aggie has won the Weatherfield Golden  Heart award.

Ed hugs her and raises a toast.

11. Ed apologises to James

Ed admits to James that he overreacted and apologises for lashing out at Danny after his son came out as gay.
