Strictly Come Dancing is just around the corner as the contestants prepare to take to the dancefloor again on the BBC show. After avoiding the dance-off in Movie Week, the couples are starting to feel like it’s anyone’s game to win. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what time the show returns.

What time is Strictly Come Dancing on tonight?

By week four of the competition, the couples have started to hone in on their dancing skills and perfect their frames for the judges.

Tonight they will once again be under the watchful eye of judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be hosting the BBC Centenary Special and talking to the contestants about their progress so far.

As there are so many contestants still in the competition, the episode will air for two hours in the evening.

The show will start at 6.30pm and will air until 8.30pm, with the results show airing on Sunday.

The Hit List will air before the contestants take to the dancefloor, and the show will be followed by an episode of Blankety Blank.

As for the results show, it will air on Sunday at 7.15pm and will run until 8pm.

The stars have been sharing their thoughts ahead of their next dances and there is a mixture of nerves and excitement.

On Thursday, Will Mellor took to Instagram to tell his fans he was in the process of recovering from a “horrible” bug.

He said: “Hello, just want to apologise for the way I sound, I have not been well at all this week.

“I went into training on Monday and just had to go home, I was feeling poorly and have just been laid up ever since.

“I’ve got a bug…I have been aching and it’s horrible.

“I have just done Strictly It Takes Two and people have said I sound really poorly.

“I probably sound worse than I am as I’ve been coughing my throat out.

“I went to training for the first time today just to do a couple of hours and learn the steps as I’m performing live on Saturday night.”

He said he hoped he could just “get through it” on the night as he wants to do the song justice.

He will be dancing the Rumba to The Joker and The Queen by Ed Sheeran featuring Taylor Swift.

Presenter Kym Marsh also announced she had not been feeling well and hoped to recover in time for the live show.

On Instagram, she said: “What a horrendous week we have had. Woke up on Monday and started coughing and just felt rubbish and horrible.

“It’s not Covid, but just really unwell, aching all over, coughing, fever, really bad pain in my ribs.

“Now you can hear I’m still coughing, still haven’t got any voice, so it’s been a bit rubbish. We have not done as much training as we would have liked.”

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays on BBC One at 6.30pm.
