Amanda Holden takes swipe at Phillip Schofield after their bitter ITV feud
Amanda Holden seems to have fired a cryptic shot at former co-host Phillip Schofield and alluded to their ongoing feud.
Amanda and Phillip worked together as co-hosts on ITV show This Morning between 2014 and 2019 but they didn't exactly see eye to eye. And in an interview with Fabulous magazine, the Britain's Got Talent host emphasised that as a media personality: "You have to be nice on the way up."
It's said she's referring to Phillip's TV downfall when Amanda said: "You are going to come down, but you don’t have to come crashing down, you can say things about me, and it's water off a duck's back. " know my reputation is professional and likeable. That's what I wanted when I set out. Whatever job you're in, there is the climb and there is the descent."

Phillip had a famously dramatic "descent" earlier this year, after reports emerged that he had participated in an ongoing affair with a man in his 20s – a mistake that Phillip later described as "unwise but not illegal". The 61-year-old resigned from all his work in television, amid public disgrace.
Never one to hold her tongue, Amanda made an Instagram post at the time appearing to allude to Phillip's mishap. In 2018, after Phillip allegedly blocked her from hosting This Morning, the 52-year-old also joked on her Heart FM breakfast show that things she didn't want to find in her house were: "spiders, flies, and Phillip Schofield."

Sources reported that Amanda was hurt at the choice to hire singer and presenter Rochelle Humes over her – a decision said to be heavily influenced by Phillip. Amanda felt Phillip "unfairly used his powers of persuasion," according to sources, as Rochelle appeared 'easier to manage' on air'.
Amanda publicly addressed the situation once in 2019, joking about the snub with her radio co-host Jamie Theakston: "I've moved on from it, Jamie, you need to move on from it." Since Phillip's departure, Amanda noted she had tried to extend an olive branch, but hadn't received a response: "I did offer to meet him for a coffee months ago, he didn't reply to my text. What can I say?"
Amanda recently made headlines for quitting talent agency YMA – the company Phillip Schofield was signed to during the time of his affair. However this decision may have had less to do with their tiff, and more to do with tact, as reports emerged that the business harbours large debts.
