Anna Richardson reveals vile misogynistic abuse in terrifying road rage clash as she collects sick Dad from the hospital
ANNA Richardson tonight told how she was verbally abused by a driver for refusing to break the speed limit after she collected her sick Dad from the hospital.
The Naked Attraction and Changing Rooms host, 51, took to Twitter and revealed she heard the angry male driver hurling vile insults as he raced to overtake her.
The TV star told her followers: "Wow. I’ve just been called a “F*king stupid slg” by an abusive man in a car, who tailgated me (nearly causing an accident) simply because I was driving at the correct speed limit after picking my sick Dad up from hospital."
Anna, who split from Bake Off host Sue Perkins in June, added: "The sooner misogyny is made a hate crime the better…"
Misogyny is based on a warped hatred and discrimination against women, and prime minister Boris Johnson came under fire this month after he recently blocked it and public sexual harassment from becoming a hate crime.
Anna added that the awful experience had left her shaken, after fans urged her to report the incident to the police.
One person replied back: "Road rage incident, make sure you report it,’ to which Anna said: "Oh! Good point! I’m a bit too shaken at the mo…."
Another follower wrote: "That’s an awful thing to say to you. Sending lots of love and best wishes to you both xx."
One more typed: "So sorry you’ve had to go through this. It’s horrific that this sort of thing is so commonplace. People disgust me sometimes. I hope you’re ok."
Another shared: "Just pity these people, in their miserable world, I’m sure he was in a rush for something really important".
While one more typed: "Absolute disgrace and I hope you both are ok. Sadly, abusive drivers definitely seem to be on the rise. I always wonder how many of them would actually be like it outside of their vehicle!"
Anna revealed in 2017 that her father Jim had suffered a stroke, and her dad's life was saved by a friend.
