Bobby Brazier reveals this weeks Strictly dance will include emotional tribute to late mum Jade Goody

Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier has hinted that he will pay an emotional tribute to his late mum Jade Goody in this week’s show.

After performing at Blackpool last weekend with his professional dance partner Dianna Buswell, they will return to the dance floor this weekend to perform the couple’s choice. The duo have opted for a contemporary style, with ballroom elements as they dance to Maxwell’s This Woman’s work.

Bobby chatted about the song on It Takes Two with Fleur East where he admitted the song left him emotional.

The EastEnders actor said: “It is the perfect song, sung by the perfect man and it is the perfect tone. The lyrics are just profound and touched me at my core, it is gorgeous. I am going to have to work very hard this week to do it justice.”

He also added that his dance partner will take on a special role in the routine, as he said: “I am a child, well there is me as a child and I come out as me now. I have got Dianne, who replicates a woman let’s say my mother probably. We go on this journey throughout. I don’t know the whole dance yet to tell you completely but it is emotional. I think there could be a few tears.”

Before the competition even began, Bobby hinted that he would like to be able to pay tribute to his late mum as he told The Mirror: “Our Couple’s Choice, there is a song that is so perfect, I would love to do it. If it happens, it happens, but I would love to do that.”

The dancing duo are hoping to make a comeback after facing the dance-off in last week’s Blackpool special. Bobby faced the dance off against Angela Rippon, 79, where Bobby was unanimously saved by the judges.

Focusing on the positives after a rollercoaster week, Dianne shared a series of sweet snaps with Bobby a s they enjoyed a day out at Blackpool and in the famous ballroom.

"Extremely grateful for another chance to dance and to show you what this amazing boy can do. I don’t take any day or dance for granted. I want to thank everybody who took the time to vote for Bobby and I we appreciate it more than you know."

The star went on: "Despite a dance off, that was Bobbys highest score and he is improving week on week. He started this thing with zero experience so what he has achieved is pretty incredible. We have something pretty special for you all this week coming up”.
