Carla Connor (Alison King) is on hand to support Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) in Coronation Street as he prepares to see his injuries for the first time since Justin Rutherford (Andrew Still) threw acid at him.
Ryan was hit after he jumped between Justin and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), the person Justin intended to make the victim after stalking her for months.
As Justin threw the liquid, Ryan wanted to protect Daisy, who was due to get married on the day in question.
He took the direct hit and was left in agony as Daisy attempted to help him as they waited for an ambulance.
In the aftermath, Ryan has – understandably – struggled to come to terms with the fact his life has now changed forever.

‘The recovery period is so long, if not lifelong’, Ryan Prescott recently told us, reflecting on the new part of Ryan’s storyline.
‘It’s psychotherapy, physiotherapy for many years if not the rest of your life. PTSD, trauma therapy, learning the simple things of dealing with people looking at you in the street. There’s a whole phase of trying to accept that people are going to react differently to you now.’
And with the recovery process now underway, Ryan is faced with the fact he will have to see his injuries soon as the bandages come off.
In this new video, we see the psychologist prepping Ryan before he looks in the mirror.
Thankfully, he isn’t alone, as Carla arrives to support him.
They manage to share a few smiles and a laugh, but it’s enough to cause Ryan further pain and remind him that the Ryan he was before, isn’t the person he is now.
He tells Carla how much he is sick of what’s going on, but is Ryan ready to look at his injuries?
