CASA Amor boy Kodie Murphy’s family have furiously defended him after he was slammed for making “homophobic” comments and dumping his girlfriend for Love Island.

The social media marketer entered Casa Amor as a male bombshell and made waves outside of the show.

A former schoolmate of Kodie’s accused him of being a “homophobe” while an ex-girlfriend claimed he had dropped her to sign up to the hit ITV2 dating show.

Kodie’s family have now come to his defence, with his sister rowing with fans on TikTok over the way he had been portrayed by people who know him.

When asked if it was true Kodie, 20, was dating before the show, his sister said: “No it’s not.

“I can assure you my brother is one of the good ones. Some girls are so desperate for attention.”

Kodie’s ex said she had been dumped by him and told he was going on a work trip.

She wrote on social media: “As some of you may know Kodie Murphy and I have been exclusive for some time and now I've come to find out this 'work trip' he was going on was actually Casa Amor.

“Couldn't feel more hurt and disrespected, Kodie you had plenty of time to tell me, however I hope you find what you're looking for.”

She finished her statement with a sarcastic: “I wish you luck.”

She also accused fans of Love Island of “jumping on the bandwagon” and implored them to give Kodie a chance.

Kodie’s niece also spoke out in his defence and told the people commenting on TikTok: “We all know it’s not true and so why should we let negative people bring us down with lies when we know the truth.”

She added: “My uncle Kodie, he’s a very loyal boy.

“Stop with all your hate comments.”

When asked about his alleged “homophobic” language she added: “It’s all lies.”
