Coronation Street new schedule: When is Coronation Street on this week?

Coronation Street has seen plenty of drama on the cobbles over the years and now is no different with various storylines keeping fans of the ITV show hooked. But there has been drama away from the show as well in recent months with the coronavirus pandemic. Unfortunately for fans, the problems caused by COVID-19 have now hit the street.

In the ITV weekday drama, Gemma Winter (played by Dolly-Rose Campbell) is struggling to cope with her newborn quadruplets.
Mum Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) has spotted the signs of post-natal depression and is eager to help so has moved in with her daughter and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) to lighten the load.
But with Chesney still in the dark about how Gemma is not coping with being a new mum to four babies, the mum and daughter duo are doing their best to juggle mental health issues and the newborns.
However, this is far from the only issue on the cobbles.

When is Coronation Street on this week?

On Sunday, March 22, ITV announced filming would stop on both Coronation Street and fellow soap Emmerdale.
This came after news BBC’s Eastenders had halted filming new episodes while the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread.
These are just a few of many shows which have decided to stop making new shows in a bid to try and put an end to the pandemic sooner rather than later.
But it is also thanks to the coronavirus that there will now also be fewer episodes of Coronation Street airing every week.

These are usually made up of half-hour episodes with two being shown every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
However, with filming now stopped on the Manchester-based soap opera, Coronation Street will be halving its number of weekly episodes.
From today, Monday, March 30, there will be just one episode being aired instead of two, three days a week at 7.30pm.
