As Stephen followed him onto the factory gantry, Leo taunted him, threatening to call Audrey as well as the police.

To which Stephen snapped as he attacked Leo, pushing him off the balcony as he fell into the open bin below and it was later confirmed he was dead.

As Jenny began to grow concerned about Leo’s whereabouts after finding that his belongings and passport were still in the pub ahead of their trip to Canada, Stephen sneaked in and stole them before burning them in a field.

Soap watchers were quick to react to the scenes as they pointed out Stephen's blunder, which could lead to his downfall, as they questioned whether the Rovers Return has CCTV cameras.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Errrm, sooo, there's no cameras/CCTV or whatever in the pub?!? #Corrie."

A different account put: "I really hope someone was recording him leaving the pub or something. He’ll for sure trip himself up, he’s all over the place."

Another follower wrote: "I thought surely the pub has CCTV? Even in the back?"

Coronation Street airs on weeknights on ITV.
