Coronation Street’s Faye Brookes and Gareth Gates ended engagement after ‘blazing jealous rows’ over his ex

GARETH Gates and Faye Brookes split up after a series of jealous rows over his ex wife.
Insiders say that Faye wasn’t happy that he was always messaging and speaking to Suzanne Mole, 44.

The Coronation Street actress, 31, and the 90s pop star, 35, broke off their engagement earlier this week, with Gareth asking Faye to hand back the £30,000 ring he’d proposed with in January.
And a friend of the pair says that jealous rows took their toll on the couple and eventually led to the break up.
“It was hard for Faye having to share Gareth with another woman,” says the friend.
“She always felt she was bottom of his list of priorities, behind work.

“Gareth travels a lot for work, and when Faye was on Corrie, they’d have hardly any time together, yet he’d be on the phone to his ex.
“Nothing was going on at all, and she had no reason to be worried, but it turned toxic and they’d always be rowing about it.
“She’d check up on his social media, almost like she didn’t trust him.
“Everyone’s gutted as they really did love each other and could have sorted things out but it all got too intense with the arguments.”

Faye and Gareth’s teams have been approached for comment.
Faye and Gareth met when they were starring in Legally Blonde: the Musical in 2012, when he was still married to Suzanne.
They were pictured heading back to Faye’s flat in Wimbledon, with reports claiming Suzanne “hit the roof” when she found out.

Shortly afterwards, Gareth announced their separation.
Suzanne, a dancer, had previously forgiven the singer for a fling with 19 year old Katie Hall, who he met while appearing in a touring version of Les Miserables.
Faye and Gareth were together for six years before they first split in September 2018, with insiders blaming Gareth’s ‘controlling nature’ but the couple were back on by November that year.

Faye, who turned down I’m A Celebrity to spend time with Gareth, then accepted his proposal in January this year, and gushed about how excited she was to marry him.
“I've found the guy I want to spend the rest of my life with,” she said.
But they broke up again this month – with Faye being spotted for the first time without her ring today.
