'DWTS': How Does Sean Spicer Feel About the Judges Making That Big Decision?

This season of Dancing with the Stars started with controversy because Sean Spicer was in the cast. It continued to have fans talking because he managed to stay for some time because of votes instead of scores for his performances.

The judges made a big decision relating to his standing in the competition. How does he feel about it? This is what he had to say and more.

Carrie Ann Inaba said she is frustrated by fans voting for Sean Spicer

Spicer managed to stay in the competition longer than better-scoring celebrities. This was starting to frustrate the judges and some fans.

“It’s disappointing to see people go home like this week after week, and Sean is staying in, but it’s always been a partnership between the judges and the people,” Carrie Ann Inaba told Entertainment Tonight. “That is what Dancing with the Stars is. I can’t get too mad, but yeah, I’m a little frustrated.” She then added, “I’m a lot frustrated.”

She talked about the work that the other contestants are putting into their performances. “What I want to say about this is, there are people who are working their butts off, and we’ve gotten so many complaints in the past seasons about not the best dancer winning,” she said.

She continued, “So, these people who are voting just to spite us or whatever reasons they’re having in their heart — listen, I respect you, but how about having a little respect for the people who are working their butts off dancing?”

He was then eliminated

Spicer has been eliminated after performing the Argentine tango to Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills” and a foxtrot to “Story of My Life” by One Direction. He got the score of 26 out of 40.

He managed to stay in the competition by staying out of the bottom two. He finally made it to the bottom after nine weeks and the judges were able to send him home.

This was all after some defended him. Professional dancer, Cheryl Burke wrote that it was possible for Spicer to make it to the final three. She used previous celebrities as an example for this.

“Look at Bristol Palin; she made it to the final three,” she wrote for Us Weekly. “I think Sean Spicer is a better dancer. Bristol was super sweet as well, but if I was just looking at the dancing, I think that Sean’s journey is a lot more relatable and I love how much he’s committing to this.” But how does he feel about the judges cutting him from the competition?

He feels like they made the right decision

It doesn’t seem like the former White House correspondent is surprised by the decision. He supported the judges when talking to People.

Spicer said that he’s “relieved in a way” and “somewhat disappointed.” He then said, “The judges made the right decision on a night where you had two dances,” he said. “The scores were going to be very difficult to overcome.”

He also talked about the president calling for fans to vote for him while he was on the show. “It means a lot,” said Spicer. “I appreciate his support and his continued friendship. It means a tremendous amount to me to know that he’s taking time to put his support out there. I thank him for that.”

It looks like the most controversial celebrity is now out of the competition. Only time will tell which celebrity will come out on top this season.
