EastEnders bosses terrified as top secret Christmas script is stolen

EastEnders producers are terrified the top-secret script for the Christmas episode is going to be leaked to the public after it was stolen by thieves.

The document was in Jessica Plumber's car, who plays Chantelle Atkins, and parked outside her daughter's nursery in North London.

Opportunistic thieves broke into the car and took the script as well as Jessica's gym clothes, when she had only left her car unattended for a few minutes.

A friend of Jessica's told The Sun the BBC soap bosses were scared the script would be leaked online and spoiled for fans.

But luckily, nothing has happened so far and it seems they did not need to worry about that.

“Her heart sunk", they said.

  • EastEnders fans horrified over Phil Mitchell's suicide threat as he blackmails Ben

"She’s only been in the show for less than a year and she was absolutely terrified of upsetting EastEnders top brass."

“Luckily, they were incredibly sympathetic and didn’t blame her at all.”

MirrorOnline has reached out to a rep for EastEnders for comment.

EastEnders fans were left horrified last night as Phil Mitchell blackmailed his son by saying that he would kill himself if he didn't help him murder Sharon Mitchell's secret lover.

Ben, played by Max Bowden, was distraught as he tried to calm Phil down after almost killing Jack.

As alcoholic Phil shakily picked up a bottle of booze, Ben tried to persuade him that Sharon "wasn't everything".

"Oh ain't she?" Phil replied. "Ben, my mum's dead, Grant ain't coming back, my sister – who knows where she is these days. Who else have I got?"

Ben shouted back: "You've got me, dad! You've got Louise and you've got Peggy."

"This ain't about you, alright," Phil replied. "I can't let her get away with this, I can't, I won't!"

Ben tried to get Phil to sit down but his dad refused and said that he wanted to find out who Sharon was having an affair with and "make them pay".

"All we've got is that she lied about her parents' evening," Ben retorted and said that they should go for a drive and clear his head.

But Phil insisted that he "needed something to take the edge off".

This prompted Ben and Phil to grapple with one another for the bottle as Phil accused his son of not being on his side.

"I wouldn't be stopping you if I didn't care," an emotional Ben told Phil.

Phil then issued Ben an ultimatum: "I either kill someone – or I kill myself with this."
