EastEnders lines up exit for Ravi after threats from Jack Branning
EastEnders airs special flashforward scene for Christmas 2023
EastEnders fans have known about the fling between Denise Branning (played by Diane Parish) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) for months.
However, husband Jack (Scott Maslen) has only just found out about the dalliance and it looks like it will have huge repercussions for Ravi and those around him.
In explosive scenes which aired on Tuesday night, Denise told her husband about what occurred between the pair.
This came about after stepdaughter Amy (Ellie Dadd) revealed she knew all and Denise realised the truth would come out.
Fearing she would tell her father everything, Denise bit the bullet and confessed all herself.
While she reassured Jack she never slept with the restaurateur, although she came very close, even meeting him in a hotel, that appeared to be the least of his worries.
Realising his wife had warned Ravi about his police investigation into his activities, a horrified Jack sought out his love rival.
Unfortunately for Ravi, at the time he was at a gathering to celebrate the birthday of his father Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
Worse still, he was with his current girlfriend, Denise’s daughter Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams).
Nish had just proudly sung his son’s praises to the room when a furious Jack burst in.

In dramatic scenes, Nish tried to deny everything but Jack was having none of it and reeled off a list of crimes he had committed, vowing to have him sent back to prison as the party guests looked on aghast.
Later, Jack and Ravi came to blows in the Square which appears to have sealed Ravi’s fate once and for all.
Jack made it clear, in no uncertain terms, that he planned to have him sent down for good.
With tensions riding high, Ravi returned to the Panesars where a furious Nish told Ravi he had brought shame on the family.
He was left in tears as Nish slapped him across the face, sending him flying across the room while his stepmother Suki backed her husband Nish.
Meanwhile his son Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) laid into a distraught Amy because believed he would be losing his father to incarceration once again thanks to her meddling.
As an ashamed Ravi licked his wounds, Denise left the family home throwing the Branning family unit into chaos.
The storyline would appear to flag an imminent exit for Ravi as his world comes tumbling down.
If Jack gets his way and sends him to prison for his dodgy dealings, then he will be departing the Square sooner rather than later.
It would also mean that he couldn’t be the victim of the murder that has been teased for this Christmas in a flash forward scene shown earlier this year.
EastEnders is on BBC One at 7.30pm Monday – Thursday.
