Emmerdale spoilers: Jamie Tate to flee from danger after crucial Kim Tate clue?

When Jamie (played by Alexander Lincoln) first arrived on Emmerdale most of the villagers didn’t trust him simply because his namesake is Tate.

As the ITV soap continued, Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) decided to give him a chance and offered him a job at the veterinary surgery in the hope he can reconnect with his mother Kim Tate (Claire King).

Belle Dingle’s (Eden Taylor Draper) return prompted another relationship bond and it seemed Jamie is settling in nicely.

Tonight though, the latest double bill in the Yorkshire Dales proved Jamie might be much more of a shady character than anyone could have guessed.

The episodes kicked off with Kim determined to see and spend time with her estranged son.

The Home Farm owner and equine enthusiast simply wanted the opportunity to reconnect after years of betrayal and disappointment.

Unfortunately Jamie wasn’t interested, and roped his new friend Belle in to help him steer clear of the woman he calls his mother.

Belle concocted an elaborate story claiming Jamie was on a call out in a village 45 minutes away, and while Kim was sceptical there was nothing she could do to fight the assistant’s claims.

In fact Jamie was hiding with Belle in David’s shop, but seeing how childish his behaviour really is, Belle decided to talk him round into meeting up with Kim – even just for a little while.

Jamie and Belle headed to the Woolpack where they met Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox), but sparks soon flew when Kim showed up and realised she’d been lied to.

The scene ended with Lisa giving the Tate matriarch some serious home truths, as she blasted: “Without the clothes, without the money, without the house, take all that away and you’re nothing more than a sour faced b***h.

“I’ve got friends waiting for me.”

“I wish you hadn’t done that,” Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) warned, who was also unaware of Lisa’s terminally ill condition.

But while Kim later apologised for her actions and did her best to convince Jamie she could be a mother to him, it seemed it was him who was hiding some serious secrets.

During his entire conversation with his mother, Jamie had ignored a total of 12 missed phone calls.

Who could the mystery caller be? Will Jamie be in danger if he stays in the village?

What’s more, in a pivotal moment, Kim seemed to hint Jamie could be about to leave the village in an unexpected exit twist.

While Jamie continued to rebuff his mother’s attempts at a familial relationship, Kim insisted: “You’re still staying in the village right?”

Has the businesswoman hinted Jamie is about to do the exact opposite as he tries to run from his past?
