Good Morning Britain host Adil Ray laughed as he spoke of the photos of Prince Harry and "Auntie" Meghan Markle talking to the children on the balcony.
The couple, who are now based in the US, returned to the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations and were seen at the palace after not taking part in the Trooping the Colour parade.
As Adil spoke with co-star Ranvir Singh and their guests about the ongoing celebrations, he couldn't help but have a poke at Harry and Meghan.
Harry and Meghan were pictured shushing and laughing with little Savannah Phillips and Mia Tindall through the window.
The 48-year-old giggled as he said: "It reminds me of when you’re at a party and no one talks to you so you have to talk to the kids."
Putting on a voice, he added: "It's that thing of, 'Hello kids! Auntie Meg here!'"
It was previously confirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan would not be taking part in the celebrations in the parade or on the balcony.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "After careful consideration, The Queen has decided this year's traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those Members of the Royal Family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of The Queen."
That meant that the likes of Prince Andrew and his daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice also did not take part in the parade or appear on the balcony.
Prince Harry and Meghan arrived in London earlier this week with their children, Archie, three, and Lilibet, 11 months.
The couple's last public appearance at the parade was in 2019 before they stepped down as senior members of the royal family a year later.
It was announced on Thursday that The Queen would not be attending the Jubilee Thanksgiving Service after experiencing "discomfort".
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: "The Queen greatly enjoyed today's Birthday Parade and Flypast but did experience some discomfort.
"Taking into account the journey and activity required to participate in tomorrow's National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral, Her Majesty with great reluctance has concluded that she will not attend.
"The Queen is looking forward to participating in tonight's Beacon lighting event at Windsor Castle and would like to thank all those who made today such a memorable occasion."
