Im A Celebs David Ginola broke huge show rule and was told off by producers

After his exit from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, Richard Madeley spilled the beans on his time in the castle and revealed the trouble David Ginola got into behind the scenes.

Despite the 65 year old’s brief stint in Gwrych Castle, he had a lot to tell on his departure. He shared one such story involving a dispute between former footballer David Ginola and the ITV bosses.

He said: "Like The Truman Show, they are always watching so you need to be careful. If you do dare break the rules, you’ll soon know about it," David wrote in The Telegraph.

One day, David Ginola covered both our microphones and whispered something conspiratorial to me. Instantly the Voice of God rang out, admonishing him."

Another campmate fiasco occurred when British DJ Naughty Boy admitted to smuggling in spices as he was unpacking his bags upon his arrival to the castle.

Richard said: "The singer and producer Naughty Boy brought in some cumin in his sock to give our unseasoned food a bit of flavour. He admitted it for some reason and had it confiscated instantly."

Richard had to make a trip to the hospital just four days after the show began, resulting in a breach of Covid regulations. He took the trip as a precaution, complaining he felt unwell, and went to the hospital to receive treatment under the knowledge that he would not be allowed back on to the show.

If Richard returned to the castle and unknowingly carrying Covid-19, he could potentially infect his campmates with the virus.

After the hospital trip, Madely took to Instagram to reassure viewers of his health: "Hello all! Richard here – firstly just to say that I’m absolutely FINE. I started to feel briefly unwell in the small hours of the morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

"By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs that remain in the camp. Obviously I’m gutted to be leaving so soon but the safety of all the campmates is the number one priority.

"I’m incredibly excited to watch their journey continue…even more so at the prospect of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle.’

"Thank you to everyone who supported me on my brief but completely unforgettable adventure – I’ve made some great friends and honestly had the time of my life. Speak soon, Richard x."

After Richard’s sudden exit from the castle, huge storms have ravaged Wales and ITV have been forced to take I’m A Celeb off air until they subside.

The celebrity contestants left the camp and have been isolating while ITV released an official statement: "Whilst we get the production base back up and running after suffering technical issues due to the storm, we have removed the celebrities from the castle."

No new episodes were broadcast over the weekend as technical issues arose due to the weather complications and it has not been confirmed when the series will continue.
