ITV Im A Celeb viewers spot exact moment Jamie Lynn Spears decided to quit

Jamie Lynn Spears has quit I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds, an ITV spokesperson said.

The singer and actress, who is the younger sister of Britney Spears, is the second celebrity to leave the show early for medical reasons, after restaurant critic Grace Dent departed earlier this week.

Jamie Lynn’s last appearance on the jungle show will be during Wednesday night’s instalment, it’s understood.

A show spokesperson said: “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds.

“She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”

After the news of her departure, viewers have spotted the exact moment she appeared to decide to quit.

In Tuesday night's show, Jamie Lynn was seen taking herself away from the rest of the group after they had enjoyed a square of chocolate to have a secret cry.

She later said "I think I have got to leave," as she struggled in the wet and rainy camp, as well as being seriously homesick and missing her children.

Jamie Lynn said: “That little square of chocolate p*****d me off.”

EastEnders’ Danielle Harold said: “It’s because it gives you a taste of what’s outside…” as she comforted Jamie and gave her a hug.

Jamie Lynn laughed: “I probably should have just let someone eat it. I feel a little better maybe. I just needed to cry" as Nick encouraged her: “Have a little cry J.”

She then tried to use the phone in camp to contact home and her children, even though it was not connected to an outside line.

Breaking down again in the phone booth, she said: "I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate this place, it is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God please help me make it. I think I have got to leave.

"Just a friendly reminder how much it sucks here."

Her campmates tried to comfort her and in the Bush Telegraph, Tony said: “She’s just getting frustrated, she misses her kids. She’s so far away from home. It’s good to just go and ask someone how they’re doing. Just look out for each other. Everyone should have that attitude with everybody.”

He made sure to check in the US star when she again left the rest of the group to sit alone by the creek.

Tony asked her: “How you doing girl?”, to which Jamie Lynn said: “I needed a change of scenery. I was struggling earlier.”

Tony asked: “Do you need anything?”

Jamie Lynn said: “No, I’m just tired of sitting up there. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make you come all the way down here.”

Giving her a hug, Tony said: “Don’t be silly, I was coming to see how you was.”

It wasn't the first time Jamie Lynn had said she wanted to leave – as early as the third episode of the series over a week ago, she had spoken about quitting.

At the time she broke down in tears when she wasn't given her luxury item and struggled to be apart from her children.

Jamie Lynn moaned: "I don't wanna be here, I quit, It is not fair."
