ITV Im A Celebs Josie Gibson to miss out on reunion with son Reggie in camp

Josie Gibson is expected to miss out on an emotional camp reunion with her son Reggie on Friday's I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.

The This Morning star is one of the remaining campmates in the ITV show, which is thought to be getting set to air scenes of the contestants being visited by their loved ones in camp during tonight's episode.

Previous series have included visits from family and friends during the reality series' final days, but it seems that Josie, 38, might not get to see five-year-old son Reggie because of strict health and safety rules surrounding access to the Australian camp.

A show source said: "Getting the loved ones into camp as a surprise always makes for great footage. The letters from home are emotional but seeing them reunited is even better.

"It is a real shame Reggie is not allowed into camp but hopefully for Josie her friend Mia can reassure her what a great time Reggie is having in Australia if he is not allowed in. It should make for some great footage on Friday's show."

Reggie has travelled out to Brisbane with Josie's best friend Mia Williams to greet his mum when she finally leaves I'm A Celebrity, which will air its final on Sunday night.

However, ITV's rules about using the footbridges on set and safely entering the camp could make it impossible for Reggie to drop in and see Josie before she leaves the show.

Back in 2018, I'm A Celeb viewers were brought to tears by Harry Redknapp's camp visit from his beloved wife Sandra as he told her how much he had been missing her.

The campmates are usually taken off to a secluded area away from their co-stars to meet with their loved ones for a few minutes before heading back to the main camp.

Earlier this week, the contestants were given their letters from home to read out to each other, with Nigel Farage reading Reggie's letter to Josie.

It said: "Hello Mummy, I hope you are having the best time in the jungle, I have been watching you at home with Daddy. The snakes and spiders look scary mummy, but you are doing a good job. I love you and miss you."

Last week, Josie fans became worried that she might quit as she tearfully told Danielle Harold: "I just miss my little boy. I shouldn't have ever left him this long."

She added in the Bush Telegraph: "Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I'll never leave him this long again, ever."

Back in 2012, I'm A Celeb viewers felt so sorry for eventual winner Charlie Brooks and her daughter Kiki missing out on a reunion that they even complained to Ofcom.

EastEnders star Charlie took part in a challenge where she had to choose which of a series of doors to open, and if she had picked the right one would have found her young daughter Kiki behind it – but unfortunately, she didn't and Kiki was led back out of the jungle without a hug from mum.
