James Haskell claims Holly knew about Phillips affair years ago
Holly Willoughby’s This Morning statement
Former rugby star James Haskell claims “everyone knew” at ITV including Holly Willoughby about Phillip Schofield’s affair with a younger male colleague.
James’ claims came after Holly addressed the nation on Monday as she returned to her role on This Morning.
James said on the Jeremy Vine Show: “Utter nonsense. She [Holly] asked: ‘Are you ok?’ A bloke off the TV cheated on his wife, I think I’ll survive, I think I’ll live.
“It is awful, this is 2023 in a nutshell. Everybody tripping over themselves to extricate themselves from any sort of drama.
“But it is pretence, it is a fabrication, I just think it is appalling. Unless there is something that we don’t know.
“I knew about this years ago, if I knew about it of course she [Holly] knows. Everybody knows.”
Recent I’m A Celeb All Star star Mleene Klass was also a guest on the show and added: “I think it’s a case of the conversations that happen on that sofa, these are people who are trusted and welcomed into our house.”
During her short statement on her return to This Morning, Holly said: “You, me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth.
“Who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV, and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process.

“And it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal for the health and well-being of everyone.
“I hope that, as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other.”
Despite James’ views, Phillip said in a new interview that he lied to Holly and his bosses about the affair – and that to his knowledge, no one knew about it.
ITV bosses have also vehemently denied the affair, explaining in a statement to Express.co.uk: We are deeply disappointed by the admissions of deceit made tonight by Phillip Schofield. The relationships we have with those we work with are based on trust.
“Philip made assurances to us which he now acknowledges were untrue and we feel badly let down.
“We accept his resignation from ITV and therefore can confirm that he will not be appearing on ITV as had previously been stated.”
Express.co.uk has contacted ITV and Holly Willoughby for a comment.
Jeremy Vine airs weekdays from 9:15am on Channel 5.
