Janine Butcher returns with a final bombshell in EastEnders | The Sun

LINDA Carter is struggling to cope with her former husband Mick's disappearance at sea.

Things go from bad to worse for her when EastEnders villain Janine Butcher returns with a demand.

Less than two months have passed since The Vic landlord vanished while trying to save both Linda (Kellie Bright) and his last wife Janine (Charlie Brooks) from drowning to death.

And once the police discovered his wallet washing up to shore, his loved ones had no choice but to accept he's dead.

Coming up on BBC One next week, a grief-stricken Linda prepares with great difficulty for her first Valentine's Day without Mick.

Her pal Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is determined to perk her spirits up and helps her prepare for The Vic's Valentine's Day party.

She lets Sharon know she's had a call from the lawyer – and it involves her nemesis Janine Butcher.

According to the solicitor, Janine still wants to sell Mick's half of The Vic.

As fans of the London-based program will remember, Janine was carted away soon after Mick's disappearance as her unlawful scheming had been exposed.

This forced her to leave her daughter Scarlett behind, although the schoolgirl was then whisked away to Germany by her uncle Ricky.

In recent months, Janine put Linda's life in severe danger as she desperately tried to latch on to Mick and keep him away from his estranged wife.

The truth was exposed most notably by Shirley Carter, who had seen right through Janine from the get-go, around the Christmas dinner table and Mick was appalled.

Despite marrying her shortly before and expecting a child with her, Mick was ready to throw her to the wolves by reporting her to the police.

He then had an epiphany and remembered how much he loved Linda – but their plans of a reunion were thwarted when Mick vanished into the sea.
