Julia Bradbury compares mastectomy to Hunger Games in heartbreaking confession

Julia Bradbury has described going under the knife for her mastectomy as like being in “the hunger games” as she shared her battle with breast cancer.
On Thursday (April 28), the 51-year-old's documentary, titled Julia Bradbury: Breast Cancer and Me, aired on ITV as it shared some of the realities of battling the deadly illness.
As the TV presenter gave viewers an insight into her family life while managing the illness, the mum-of-three confessed she was “scared” ahead of her mastectomy later that week.
Throughout the show, the brunette beauty set up a camera in her wardrobe where she would share her thoughts on the how she has been coping with the illness since she was diagnosed in November 2021.
In the emotional clip, she explained: "It's ten days to go now until my op and it feels like I'm part of some really bad game show, like the hunger games or something.
"Even thought his op is hopefully going to get rid of his cancer and fingers crossed it hasn't spread anywhere else and it's going to save me hopefully.
"I find my hand moving to my boob, just holding it, knowing that it's not going to feel the same, be the same again."
Viewers soon flooded to Twitter to compliment the TV presenter for sharing the realities of the disease with millions of people.

Another agreed, saying: “I have no words whilst watching @JuliaBradbury breast cancer & me on ITV. You are amazing Julia with the strength shown during your journey with this awful disease.”
