Kate Beckinsale calls David Walliams her DAD on dinner date three years after they were rumoured to be dating

KATE Beckinsale called David Walliams her 'dad' as they enjoyed a dinner date yesterday.

The 45-year-old took to Instagram to share a snap alongside the Britain's Got Talent judge, 47, while dining at celebrity hotspot, Nobu.

In the blurry photo, the pair can be seen cosying up as they smile for the camera.

Kate wrote: "Took my dad to Nobu because he loves really big fancy balls dangling over his head @dwalliams."

And the comedian hilariously replied: "Yes. Yours’."

Their outing comes three years after the pals' friendship was questioned after they were pictured looking closer than ever during a cosy dinner date.

In the 2016 snaps, Kate and David seemed to be in fits of giggles and held onto each other as they dined at Scotts restaurant in Mayfair.

However, the Widow star soon shed light about a potential romance with her friend of over a decade.

She wrote: "‘This is my dear friend, @davidwalliams. If I ever see him naked I will immediately tattoo a [aubergine emoji] on my face for clarity."

Following up her comment, she added: "Until that appears, everyone can relax and know we are friends, as we have been for the last 2000 years. Ps The size of the tattoo is unlikely to be actual size. As far as I know.”

According to US reports, Kate Beckinsale split from comedian Pete Davidson recently after just a few months of dating.

A source told Entertainment Tonight and People magazine the couple are no longer together.

The source said: “They’re still friendly but are not on romantic terms."

Meanwhile, David divorced wife Lara Stone in 2015 and has since been linked to a string of women including former Made In Chelsea star Ashley James, 31, and kidnapped model Chloe Ayling, 21.

And despite previously dismissing any potential romance, David has referred to the star as his “ideal woman.”

During an interview in 2009 he admitted: “There’s a couple of girls I know and they are amazing, so much fun, and they’re so amusing and naughty and beautiful.

"One’s Kate Beckinsale, that I’ve known for a really long time, since before she was well known, and Natalie Imbruglia as well. When I’m with them I turn to jelly because they’re so exciting to be with, but neither of them would ever go out with me, so I can’t.”
