Killing Eve author Luke Jennings vows to reveal secrets behind the hit series – The Sun
KILLING Eve creator Luke Jennings is to reveal the secrets behind the crime thriller that took TV by storm.
The author will reveal what drove him to think of a woman assassin for the hit series.
He has chosen the national lockdown to speak at the Big Book Weekend, a three-day virtual festival to replace axed literary festivals.
The popular drama about a female assassin, now in its third series, started life as a series of self-published novellas with a small but enthusiastic audience of devoted fans.
Jennings will has agreed to be interviewed for the festival over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend.
It is part of the “Culture in Quarantine” drive organised by BBC Arts to replace flagship events cancelled during the crisis.
Kit de Waal, author and co-founder of the festival, says: “I’m so excited to reveal these three events coming to The Big Book Weekend during the first Bank Holiday weekend in May.
“Luke Jennings has created an iconic story in Killing Eve, and one that reaches a broad audience and speaks to younger people too. I can’t wait to hear what he has to say about his novellas.”
