Kim discussed whether or not she wanted to pursue this career path with sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian as the trio sat together in the living room.

Though the upcoming episode seems to tease the SKIMS founder is DONE attempting to become a lawyer, a source close to Kim told The Sun that her dream is still alive.

“Kim has not given up on her dream of becoming a lawyer,” the insider said.

However, they revealed that this was: “Obviously this was a big set back."

“And with all her personal life events going on, her plans were pushed back 6 months to a year. But she still plans on pursuing this,” the informant assured.

The mom-of-four admitted her defeat to sisters Khloe, 36, and Kourtney, 41, in a sneak peek at Thursday's episode of KUWTK first obtained by E! News.

"So you guys, I did not pass the baby bar," she said with a very disappointed tone.

Kim revealed she got a score of 474 in her first-year law student exam – when she would need a 560 to pass.

The law pupil explained in a confessional: "If you are doing law school the way I'm doing it, it is a four-year program instead of your typical three-year program.

"And after year one, you have to take the baby bar. This would actually harder, I hear, than the official bar."

Her mentor, attorney Jessica Jackson, tried to reassure Kim in a flashback scene that she is “not a failure.”

"That is extremely close on a test that most people are not taking in the middle of a pandemic," Jessica tells the SKIMS founder.

But Kim seemed defeated, and said: "I am a failure. I spent six weeks straight, 10 to 12 hours a day, studying and it was so important for me to take this.

“And to not pass gets your spirit down and just makes you want to give up."

Kourtney tried to comfort her younger sister by saying that their late lawyer father Robert Kardashian – who famously took part in the OJ Simpson trial – would still be impressed with Kim's ambition.

"I feel like dad would be really proud of you regardless, just the fact that you're pursuing this," she says.

Khloe added: "I think it's highly respectable what you're doing. I think the time that you get taken away from your family, your kids…"

The episode was filmed in October last year and Khloe suggests Kim retake the exam in June 2021.

In order to retain the knowledge she’s already learned, the TV personality says she'd rather take the test again as soon as possible.

The state of California introduced a mandatory examination that first-year law students attending unaccredited schools must pass in order to continue their studies.

Kim – who filed for divorce from Kanye West in February – previously said she was studying ten-and-a-half hours a day and described the test itself as "really nerve-wracking" as only 20 per cent of people pass.

Just last week, her rumored new man, Van Jones, called Kim "unbelievable" as he praised her efforts to become a lawyer.

When asked how Kim is getting on with her legal studies, Van said: "She's doing amazing.

"Her dad was a lawyer and she always wanted to be a lawyer and when she got a taste of what she could do using her platform, using her brain, she hasn't let up.

"I think she's going to be an unbelievable attorney and I think she's one of the best advocates that we have.”
