Kim Kardashian's major new project divides fans as mogul is set to produce and star in comedy The 5th Wheel | The Sun

KIM Kardashian will produce and star in her first feature film, it has been announced.

News of the female-driven comedy titled The 5th Wheel excited some fans, but others are already calling cut.

Kim, 43, will make her big screen debut in the comedy flick, Deadline announced.

The movie is being pitched to various studios with Paula Pell (Wine Country) and Janine Brito (Girls 5Eva) writing the script.

"Multiple bids are already on the table, as five studios battle for the package," the outlet wrote.

They added that Kim: "has been very hands-on, appearing at each meeting to deliver the pitch and the studios are lining up to get in business with the Kardashian."

Pell (who will also produce) is a Saturday Night Live vet who went on to work with Tina Fey on 30 Rock, as well as Amy Poehler and Judd Apatow.

Meanwhile, this will be Brito's first project since starring in the comedy Wine Country alongside Fey and Poehler- which Pell also starred in.

Fans booked it to X, formerly Twitter, where some snarked about whether the Skims mogul has the timing for a real-deal comedy.

One person posted: "I can tell you now that I will not be watching it."

Another reaction read: "Does she even know how to be funny?" with a skull emoji.

A third person wrote: "I'll bet it's not going to be funny just cringe." while a user admitted, "Kim is really working."

One follower agreed: "One thing about Kim? She’s going to get that bag! Kris [Jenner] taught her well."

"There’s nothing funny about her," one critic raged.

Kim famously found reality TV fame on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and, currently, Hulu's The Kardashians.

She also recently starred as a publicist in FX's American Horror Story: Delicate and lent her voice to two Paw Patrol films.

She was also a knee-slapper on SNL back in 2022, winning over fans with a funny monologue full of self-aware jokes.

But she also had a few more surprising acting stints while finding superstardom.

Just a month before her reality TV era began, Kim had a steamy role in a Fall Out Boy music video that also starred a chimpanzee.

And perhaps most regrettably she starred in 2008's Disaster Movie.

Years later, she confessed on the ABC game show Big Fan that she was "mortified" by the movie, and admitted she can't even watch it.

As Deadline noted, she's still done "limited work" as far as acting goes.

It's unknown who else will be cast in the flick, or when it will be released.
