Love Island’s Georgia Harrison seen for the first time in LA after death of ex Jake McLean | The Sun

LOVE Island star Georgia Harrison has been seen for the first time in America after the tragic death of her ex Jake McLean.

Jake, 33, was killed last month when the car he was driving plunged 70ft off of a cliff in Turkey – with his funeral taking place last week.

Georgia, 27, who had been in a "serious relationship" with Jake in the past – was among mourners taking to Instagram with tributes.

However, she missed out on the funeral as she revealed she was in Los Angeles, California, this month – and remains out there as she comes to terms with the shock death.

Georgia was seen for the first time since Jake passed away, looking sombre as she strolled around the city in a tiny string bikini top.

Showcasing her abs, the star paired the swimwear with baggy ripped jeans, trainers and a designer bag, as she let her blonde hair flow down her chest in gentle waves.

The star kept a straight face as she was snapped out on a dog walk with friends, before she jumped into a waiting SUV.

She completed her look with thick gold chains, and threw a dark coloured blazer over her shoulders at one point in the trip.

The star has hinted she is set to remain out in the USA on her Instagram stories this week, as she told fans she was "healing" thanks to her time in LA.

She posted a sweet video, which included a clip of her kissing Jake, as she told fans she was trying to "live her life".

Last month, Georgia quit social media in the wake of Jake's death – as she admitted she needed to protect her mental health.

Georgia announced she was "turning off my phone" to give her time to "process" Jake's shock death.

She wrote on Instagram: "Turning off my phone for the next few days to try and process everything and avoid being triggered.

"If anyone needs me desperately please call my mum and she will decide if to pass on the message. I just need to process."

It came after she revealed her long term on-off relationship with Jake, telling fans he was her only "meaningful" relationship.

She wrote: "Me and Jake were on and off for years since we have known each other from school. In fact he was the only meaningful relationship I've ever had.

"Our connection was special and in between any relationship we had with each other we were always friends until the end."

Alongside pictures of them cuddling in London, she said: "Thank you for giving me the confidence to love myself.
