Mark, 33, has now also revealed how his uncle Eddie — the father of his reality star cousin Elliott — is “critical” in hospital fighting the disease.
And another of his uncles is on oxygen with the virus.
Mark, now a footballer, hid his anguish from fans on Sunday as he made his professional debut as a sub in Crawley Town’s historic FA Cup win over Leeds.
But he admitted he has just had the “scariest week” of his life.
His dad and mum Carol, 60, tested positive on New Year’s Eve.
Mark said about his critically ill uncle: “We’re praying every night we’re going to have a miracle. We’re getting good news each day.
“He is not getting worse — but we’re praying.”
He added: “I hope my dad doesn’t mind me saying this but mentally something’s not right.
“He is not my dad who he was four weeks ago. It can leave long-lasting problems.”
Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan asked Mark yesterday if he had a message for people who claim the virus is a hoax.
He replied: “The message is what it should be from the start — what Kate Garraway has tried to promote.
“When you see it at first hand, that might be the day you realise you need to buck up your ideas.
“I have friends who think it’s a conspiracy theory. Whether the Government is right or wrong, they know more than you.
"I’ve had the hardest few weeks of my life, potentially losing family members. You will regret not sticking to the rules. When you see it first hand, it is the scariest thing.”
Mark’s Towie star sister Jess, 35, told on Friday how Covid had “ripped through her family” as their parents confronted the virus.
Mum Carol said: “What a year this has been. This Christmas and New Year, I was unable to spend it with my loved ones.
“My hubby and I have got attacked with the virus all over Christmas, my husband is fighting it, I am suffering the worst coughing fits ever.”
But determined Carol added: “My hubby and I will pull through this.
“It has taught me something in life, ‘Never think that this virus isn’t real’.”
