Masked Singer fans 'work out' that the Poodle is Netflix star after spotting 'long walkies' clue
THE Masked Singer fans are convinced they've got Poodle's identity all worked out after spotting a clue about "long walkies".
Poodle got the ITV studio audience and panel of judges onto their feet with a knockout performance of Elton John's Rocketman on Sunday night.
The pampered pup's identity has so far remained under wraps, but it hasn't stopped viewers speculating that they have already worked out who it is.
Fans took to Twitter to suggest that it could be Netflix star Eddie Izzard under the mask – who recently took part in a new drama series, Stay Close.
The comedian plays Harry, a small-town lawyer, in the upcoming series – which is described by the streaming platform as a thriller looking into "dark secrets".
Speculation as to Poodle's identity was promted by a clue made by the mystery celebrity beneath the mask as they referred to "long walkies".
"I once went on a very long walkies," Poodle could be heard telling the judges, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Rita Ora in a final clue.
While the panel were left confused, viewers immediately flooded social media to suggest the dog mask was hiding Eddie, 59 – who has run in multiple marathons.
"Is Poodle Eddie Izzard? He did all those runs and walks for charity," one person speculated, as a second chimed in: "Long walkies = Eddie Izzard?"
"Eddie Izzard has done lots of walks for charity," a third said, as a fourth agreed: "Eddie Izzard has done marathons. My guess for Poodle."
Someone else concluded of the final clue: "After the clue about long walkies I now think Poodle is Eddie Izzard!"

Poodle went up against Snow Leopard who was unmasked recently and turned out to be Loose Women panelist Gloria Hunniford.
Aside from Eddie Izzard, many of the show's fans are also convinced that Poodle could be Take That vocalist Gary Barlow after another clue.
The clue stated: "I once went on long walkies," which some fans took to refer to Gary's trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009.
"He went for a long “walkies” up Kilimanjaro to raise money, and if you listen to the performance it does rather sound like him," one said.
Another agreed and posted to Twitter: "After listening back a few times, Poodle is DEFINITELY Gary Barlow!"
A third then put: "Also a bit late to the party but Poodle is 100% Gary Barlow and no one can convince me otherwise."
