My 600-lb Life star Coliesa McMillan dies aged 41
My 600-lb Life star Coliesa McMillan has died at the age of 41.
The reality star – who appeared on Season eight of the TLC show earlier this year – died at a hospital in Louisiana this week, but the cause has not yet been revealed.
According to TMZ, her mother confirmed the news that the TV star died on Tuesday.
Coliesa had previously been placed on life support months before after suffering complications from weight loss surgery.
The mother of four – who had been 643 lbs (45 stone) when she appeared on the show – had been attempting to regain control of her life for her children.
In April, The Sun reported that the star had been taken out of the ICU as she continued to recover from surgery.
The reality star had not lost enough weight to be approved for the surgery, but the doctor performed the operation because he feared she could have a life-threatening intestinal blockage.
After gastric sleeve surgery, Coliesa managed to lose 150 lbs (10 stone) before complications arose.
The death came after fellow My 600-lb life star James King lost his life on April 3.
The Sun reported that the 49-year-old reality star died of kidney failure.
