New Queen Vic family lands and causes chaos as full EastEnders story is revealed
The Knight family are set to make their debut on EastEnders, following the recent arrival of Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), and they certainly won’t be going under the radar.
When Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) went into business with her mum, she wasn’t expecting to be sharing her home with a whole new family, which is where the chaos begins.
As George Knight (Colin Salmon) arrives with daughters Anna and Gina (Molly Rainford and Francesca Henry) in tow, Linda is baffled.
When George introduces himself as Elaine’s other half and explains that they’ve come over from Marbella to help run the Vic, her confusion turns to fury.
However, George doesn’t seem fazed by her reaction, as he is eager to get started, much like actor Colin Salmon, who revealed that working in the Queen Vic is a ‘big deal’.
‘The Vic is an iconic British institution, so its daunting because we have to look after it! It was absolutely surreal to walk onto the set for the first time.’

However, it isn’t just Linda that George causes a stir with, as he is soon recognised by several Walford residents.
Boxing fans Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Winston (Ulric Browne) soon recognise him as a championship boxer as it becomes clear that he is making his mark on the Square.
‘As an ex-boxer, he doesn’t have to be hard or prove himself because he’s a warrior.’ Colin revealed. ‘He’s been through some things like many people have.’
It isn’t long before George finds himself clashing with killer Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), who was previously left reeling when Elaine knocked him down a peg or two.
Now, it is fiancé George that Nish butts heads with, and soon realises that he is not to be messed with.
Elsewhere, George’s daughters cause a stir when they catch the eye of Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and he becomes instantly smitten with them.
However, Anna and Gina draw Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Taylforth) attention for a totally different reason.
They find themselves facing her wrath when they bring chihuahua Tyson into the café.
When they head back to The Queen Vic, the reception isn’t much better.
The atmosphere in the pub is low, with the punters mourning the tragic loss of Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold).
Anna and Gina aren’t aware of this, however, and try to get the party started, causing upset among the locals.
With their arrival already causing chaos on the Square, will they be accepted into the fold?
EastEnders airs these scenes w/c Monday May 29 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
