Piers Morgan’s ‘final warning’ to GMB viewers as he gears up for dramatic return
Controversial Good Morning Britain co-anchor Piers Morgan slammed a potential boycott of the breakfast show as he prepares to return from his annual summer holiday.
The outspoken 55-year-old's latest social media attack saw him warn that those who choose to tune into another breakfast show would face a ban from viewing GMB in the future.
Piers and regular co-star Susanna Reid took time out from the show in August to spend time with their loved ones and children as the coronavirus travel restrictions were eased.
Now, the dad-of-four is facing a boycott of viewers upon his return.
Addressing his 7.6 million Twitter followers, the former newspaper editor said: "Memo to all trolls telling me they will not watch @GMB when I return tomorrow: if you carry out your threat, you're banned from ever watching @GMB again."
In true Piers Morgan style, he added a stern closing statement: "Final warning."
Fans instantly replied to his tweet, praising his stance on the show.

One viewer tweeted: "I definitely will be watching. Piers and Susanna are the best things to happen to breakfast TV.
"No one is compelled to watch, but I'm sure the trolls won't be able to resist as they feed off something to criticise."
While a second added: "I can't wait… kids back to school, Piers and Susanna back, it's like Xmas morning."
"I'm off tomorrow, set my alarm for 5.59 so I don't miss it," added a third.
"Really looking forward to some proper arguments and 'on form' banter again! I'll be setting my alarm and tuning in at 6am! @piersmorgan @susannareid100, welcome back," said a fourth.
Piers' return to the show comes as he jetted home from his annual family holiday to the South of France – just hours before strict quarantine measures were put into place by the government.
The Morgan family headed home before Brits travelling from the European country were forced into a 14-day lockdown in a bid to contain the coronavirus.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
