Ratings: 'Ellen's Greatest Night of Giveaways' Gets 1 Million More Viewers Than 'The Masked Singer'

Americans love getting free stuff — and Ellen, they also love Ellen. On Tuesday, NBC’s premiere of “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways” got one million more viewers than Fox’s “The Masked Singer.”

“Masked Singer” was still the highest-rated show in primetime among adults 18-49. Ellen and “The Voice” tied for second, and NBC and Fox tied atop the Nielsen leaderboard in key demo averages.

Must mean “The Moodys Christmas” let Fox down again. (It did.)

NBC and Fox tied for first in ratings, both with a 1.0 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic. NBC was second in total viewers with an average of 6.05 million, according to preliminary numbers, Fox was third with 3.8 million.

For NBC, “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways” at 8 p.m. posted a 1.2/6 and 6.8 million viewers. At 9, “The Voice” put up a 1.2/6 and 8.3 million viewers. “Making It” at 10 managed a 0.5/3 and 3.1 million viewers.

For Fox, “The Masked Singer” at 8 landed a 1.6/8 and 5.8 million viewers. At 9, the hourlong “Moodys” finale received a 0.5/2 and 1.9 million viewers.

ABC was third in ratings with a 0.6/3 and fourth in viewers with 3.5 million. “The Conners” at 8 earned a 1.0/5 and 5.7 million viewers.

CBS was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/3, but first and in viewers with 6.07 million.

Univision and The CW tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.3 million, The CW was sixth with 1.2 million.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/2 and in viewers with 889,000.
