Rylan Clark builds underground railway station at Essex mansion as hes a train geek
This Morning's Rylan Clark has amazed viewers with his unique Essex mansion, which includes an underground train station.
Chatting about lottery winner Neil Leighton who recently bought his own steam train, the conversation turned to what Rylan has spent his money on. On This Morning, the stand-in presenter praised Neil, 24, from Hereford, who followed his dream after confessing his obsession started with Thomas the Tank Engine.
Rylan is a fan of the idea and admitted: "He won £1m on the lottery and bought his own steam train. I am a bit of a train geek myself. I've built an underground station at my house." Regular guest Nick Ferrari then asked: "Are you actually serious" before teasing the star. "You sound like Vladimir Putin!"
Laughing, Rylan added: "We're a little bit different! There's different lines, I've got the Rylan line. I did have a bit of a drink one new year's eve. I put in a bit of a bid for a Heritage Railway. I would literally buy a steam train, an underground carriage."
Rylan has built a multi-million pound property empire including his five bedroom Essex home which features a swimming pool, large garden and – incredibly – a Big Brother Diary Room. The Celebrity Gogglebox star even has the Diary Room chair from his own series back in 2013 and the LED Big Brother Eye door bell.
Speaking about his personal home diary room, he gushed: "It's my new favourite room in my house. We all know how much I'm obsessed by Big Brother and I have nothing better to do with my time so I built a diary room. It looks quite like the diary room as well – which is quite exciting?!"
"He added: "Some people sell stuff on eBay from the Big Brother – fair enough things are being thrown away but I think it's naughty. They should put it in a museum or something. "There should be some Big Brother Museum. I think there should be some Big Brother exhibition I'd do it definitely. I've loads of things from over the years like all the diary room chairs. I'd go."
Rylan's home, which he recently decked out for Christmas, also boasts a dining room featuring plush tables and chairs upholstered with bright velvet fabric, while the wall is coated in pink glitter.
The entrance hall features a giant, human sized teddy bear, white wash walls, bright lighting, and a union jack coat framed on the wall. The former Strictly It Takes Two has a giant flat screen TV suspended above a stylish gas fire which he has shown fans he likes to curl up in front of to play video games and take part in Celebrity Gogglebox.
