Sarah-Jane Crawford reveals her daughter is called Summer as she poses with newborn and football manager partner
SARAH-JANE Crawford has revealed her baby daughter's name is Summer in a stunning new shoot.
The TV presenter, 39, gave birth earlier this month a year after suffering a devastating miscarriage.
The bright and hopeful name reflects Sarah-Jane and footballer manager partner Brian Barry-Murphy overcoming adversity.
Sarah told Hello!: "Summer's name is a reference to having sunshine after going through darker times.
"It has been a journey of finally reaching this optimistic season of everything coming into bloom."
Summer was born on August 3 and weighed 8lbs 2oz.
Mother and daughter had an instant connection, with Sarah-Jane saying: "I cried tears of joy. It felt like we bonded with her straight away."
She recently announced the couple's happy news on her Instagram page, sharing a sweet black and white photo of her little girl clutching onto her finger from beneath a cosy blanket.
Sarah captioned the post: "'So tell me how do you do? Finally I meet you.
"You don't know what I've been through, waiting and wondering about you.
"I had a dream my trip would end up at you, and now I know paradise'. ❤️ She’s here ?"
The quote was taken from Layo & Bushwacka song Love Story.
The star previously told Hello! magazine that suffering a miscarriage made giving birth all the more special, sharing: "After experiencing a loss last year, finally bringing a life into this world was the most incredible moment ever.
"It felt so miraculous and Brian and I are over the moon."
While this is Sarah's first child, 41-year-old Brian has an eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
The former Xtra Factor host previously said: "Blending a family is a special thing. I've come from a blended family too.
"Brian is very excited to be a dad all over again. He loves being a dad and he knew (being a parent) is something I really wanted, too.
"It's a new chapter in our relationship."
Last month, Sarah shared photos of her growing baby bump as she opened up about the challenges of pregnancy and shared her support for domestic abuse charities.
She wrote at the time: "Almost there… ??? I’m not going to lie it’s been a challenging few weeks !! Carrying A human is no joke.
"I have incredible love and support around me which I’m SO grateful for. But this experience has made me think long and hard about many other women who aren’t so fortunate and find themselves under duress whilst creating a new life. And it’s deeply saddening."
