Saturday Night Takeaway viewers joke fan purposely lost game to win toilet roll

Saturday Night Takeaway fans were left howling, if not suspicious, after tonight's Win the Ad's segment.

As an excited audience member made her way on stage to win one of the most extravagant prizes, it all fell apart when she got the question wrong.

But viewers were left convinced that she lost on purpose, because the commiserations prize is a toilet roll.

Amid the deadly coronavirus outbreak, civilians all across the UK are legging it to supermarkets to bulk buy as much loo roll, and other items, as possible in fear of a lockdown.

Over the past few days, the toiletry essential has become it's weight in gold as people rush to get their hands on the last few rolls from the empty shelves of the shops – with many unlucky to find any.

So, winning a roll on the Saturday Night Takeaway might have been the best prize to have ever been gifted given the current situation.

As the eager contestant rolled out correct answer after correct answer to Ant and Dec, she suddenly fell at the final hurdle and lost everything.

Instead, Ant and Dec handed her a SNT loo roll.

But viewers watching at home were left in hysterics after they questioned if she had answered the final question incorrectly in order to swipe the precious loo roll.

With toilet roll selling out across the country amid panic buying, some viewers suggested she was "the real winner" too.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts amid the bulk buying crisis, one fan said: "Whoever got the toilet roll instead of the prizes in Win the Ads will probably be able to sell the toilet roll on for more than the prizes are worth soon!"

Another wrote: "How happy was the woman on Ant and Dec to win a toilet roll though? She's got what we all want. Lol!"

"She deliberately messed up that final question just for the loo roll. So much more valuable than the car or holiday," quipped a third.

A fourth added: "You're unlikely to be able to go on holiday or use the car any time soon…..whereas every one uses loo roll daily."
