Stacey Solomon admits to having hiding place to escape five children

Stacey Solomon discusses her festive hiding place

Stacey Solomon-Swash shared her secret hiding place within her own home she used to escape the chaos of a big family. The Loose Women star admitted on the ITV show she runs to the downstairs toilet when she needs five minutes’ peace.

Speaking on Wednesday’s show, the Loose Women stars discussed festive hiding places. When Stacey was asked if she had one, she replied: “How can you have five kids and not have a hiding place?”

The 34-year-old continued: “Yeah, I always go in the downstairs toilet because no one likes that toilet because it ain’t got a radiator so it’s a bit colder in there.

“No one goes in there – I love sitting in there in silence and just like pretending I’m on the toilet – is that so weird?

“I can lock the door and sometimes I’ll leave the light off so it doesn’t even look like I’m in there and play on my phone.”

As her co-stars laughed, Stacey went on: “And I can hear Joe [Swash] faffing with something and he’ll be like, ‘Stace! Stace!’

“And I think, ‘If I ignore him long enough, he’ll work out how to do it on his own,’ so I just sit there.”

“And how often do you use this downstairs loo?” Christine Lampard asked.

“Oh, every day – I need at least 10 minutes a day,” Stacey confessed.

“Oh wow, have they not just made a doctor’s appointment for you yet if you’re always on the toilet?” Coleen Nolan joked.

“I don’t think they take much notice, to be honest,” Stacey answered.

She continued: “They just spend 10 minutes looking for me.

“I might soundproof actually for next year, then I don’t have to hear them either.”

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
