Stranger Things fans all say the same thing about bloody new season 4 pics as Netflix teases darkest episodes yet

FANS of Netflix's Stranger Things almost broke the internet with excitement after the streamer released bloody new teaser images of the fourth season.

Back in November, Netflix dropped a teaser for the new season ahead which featured Eleven starting a new school and helicopters blowing up in the sky.

But now it has got fans even more excited for what's to come with new images teasing what lies ahead for the paranormal drama.

The first ominous image shows David Harbour as Jim Hopper walking in the courtyard of what seems to a grim looking jail.

It's snowing and he's looking back at two unidentified figures who are walking behind him.

Ahead is what looks like a dwindling bonfire – but could also be a creepy portal to another dimension – and the image is capped off by the tagline, "every ending has a beginning."

Sharing the pics to social media, Netflix captioned each of the images beginning with a number, to indicate the episode title.

"001. Russia. Getting the band back together. Bring a jacket," read the caption from the first image.

Bridgerton FINALLY confirms season 2 release date in first-look trailer

The second image released 15 minutes later shows a girl – presumably Eleven – walking towards a similar red mass.

But instead of being in a prison, she's walking through the corridor of what looks like a trashed science laboratory, complete with blood on the walls.

The caption for the second image read: "002. The Lab. Every story starts somewhere."

Stranger Things fans could not contain their excitement and begged Netflix to either release the series immediately or at least let them know the release date.

"give me a date. soon pls," begged one fan.

Another wrote: "Release date ok."

And another pleased: "RELEASE IT NOW."

In November, Netflix released the episode titles for the upcoming series and among the pretty striking titles of the nine episodes is The Massacre At Hawkins Lab – teasing an action-packed episode and the possible return of Eleven’s father.

Meanwhile, The Monster and The Superhero also hint that a dramatic face-off could very well be heading to our screens, too.

The series, which will be released next summer, shows former human lab rat Eleven living in California with school pal Will Byers and his family, who took her in after the death of her policeman guardian Jim Hopper.

The trailer, which Eleven narrates through a chirpy letter she is writing to her close pal Mike Wheeler, shows the telekinetic teen struggling to fit in at school.

She is spat at and ignored, but she seems oblivious to it – all she can think of is seeing Mike, her first ever friend and love interest.

During the one-minute trailer, Eleven says: “I think I have finally adapted. I even like school now. I have made lots of friends.

“Even so I am ready for Spring Break. Mostly because I get to see you. We will have the best Spring Break ever.”

A hectic montage reveals glimpses of key moments from the show, including a roller derby, explosions in the desert, as well as mysterious men in suits appearing to manhandle Eleven.

Stranger Things season 4 will be released in 2022 and all three seasons are available to watch on Netflix now.
