Strictly 2019: Motsi Mabuse brands Karim Zeroual ‘one to beat’ after tragic criticisms
Strictly Come Dancing 2019 viewers were left a little disappointed this evening when Karim Zeroual arrived on the dance floor to perform the Viennese Waltz to Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran. Unfortunately for him, it was not exactly the best performance he has ever given.
Karim has been one of the show’s favourites to win so far, as both judges and viewers have fallen in love with the BBC presenter.
But Karim couldn’t keep his skill together this week, as the judges pointed out some of his flaws.
Despite this, judge Motsi Mabuse still vouched for Karim in her criticisms for him.
She began by explaining how impressive his dance was this evening, by saying it was “not easy at all.”

Motsi continued: “You have beautiful – the way you move your arms and the fluidity – they were quite quite strong.”
She then paused and added: “For me, you are still the one to beat in this competition.”
After receiving a great applause from the audience, she continued: “The nerves! The nerves, the nerves, the nerves, the nerves!
“You got this, don’t let the pressure get to you.
“You have a great, great, great, great performance – just a little bit nervous today.”
Tess Daly chimed in to say: “Stakes were high this week…”
Unfortunately, Karim found himself getting a little emotional about the criticisms.
After returning upstairs to Claudia Winkleman, Karim got a little emotional.
Claudia announced: “You looked quite emotional getting those comments.”
Comforting her partner, Amy chimed in to say: “I could see you were about to cry.”
Karim said: ““That was a hard one, I’m gutted it went wrong.”
“No it happens,” Claudia said. “And you said to me earlier it was your least favourite dance.”

But will he have what it takes to get through to next week?
