Strictly's Catherine Tyldesley likes tweet insisting the judges got it wrong after being axed and breaking down in tears
STRICTLY's Catherine Tyldesley has liked a tweet insisting the judges got it wrong after she was axed from the show.
The ex-Corrie star had been so upset that she'd broken down in tears after Shirley Ballas picked her to leave the BBC competition over Mike Bushell.
Catherine, 36, scored 24 points for her Cha Cha Cha as a zombie bride, and found herself up against Mike, 53, who had scored one point more.
Now she's shown her appreciation for a supportive tweet that claimed she'd been robbed of a spot in the competition.
The tweet read: "Sorry but @Cath_Tyledesley did not deserve to go tonight in @bbcstrictly… she was the better dance by far.. Hold your head up high my darling Cath… you've been a joy to watch from start to finish. Big love to you and @jojo_radebe."
BBC Breakfast star Mike was saved along with Katya Jones after the pair had fought off elimination in the dance off the week before.
The move stunned fellow Strictly contestant Michelle Visage, who has since revealed her "jaw hit the floor" when Mike was saved.
Another person whose face gave their feelings away was new judge Motsi Mabuse.
Viewers spotted Professional dancer Oti Mabuse's elder sister looking outraged as Catherine was voted off.
She looked like she was completely fuming, with her mouth wide open in shock, as the ex soap actress was given the boot.
Meanwhile, viewers claimed that the decision was fixed amid a war between BBC and ITV.
Cath managed to perform on Saturday night after having been struck down with a bug.
She was also spotted with painful-looking bruises on her knees after intense rehearsals with professional partner Johannes Radebe..
Yet she told how the pair would still perform despite the illness.
On ITV daytime series This Morning, she said last week: "We're alright. We've overcome it, babes. We've had it. We've had loads of vitamin C going on, it's fine"
Speaking about her exit as her departure was announced on Sunday, she paid tribute to Johannes and said: "He’s like my best friend.
"He’s just… the opportunity to work with amazing people and get critiqued off amazing people. I never thought I’d say this, I’m going to keep it up because I fell in love with it!
"I’ve loved every second, this man has changed my life!”
